Cannaray CBD is continuing its steady march into the UK’s leading retailers, the latest of which is Holland & Barrett. The deal brings together a player in a young industry and a 152 year-old retailer, and is opening with a £12 deal for some products as part of a Black Friday promotion.
According to a company statement, Holland & Barrett is one of the largest wellness retailers in Europe, stocking branded and own-brand vitamins, supplements, specialist food, sports nutrition, and ‘ethical’ beauty brands. It has more than 1,000 stores across 18 countries worldwide, including over 800 in the UK and Ireland (figures up to 30 September 2021).
While Cannaray’s launches at Waitrose, Morrisons and Debenhams brought CBD wellness supplements products to those retailers for the first time, Holland and Barrett already carries a significant number of products and brands. A search on its website for “CBD” brings up 100 products. Cannaray’s products are being marketed alongside 20 other CBD brands including Reakiro, Love Hemp, Trip, Bach Rescue and Grass & Co, as well as Holland and Barrett’s own-brand CBD product line.
Cannaray has announced that its complete product range will be listed in over 700 of Holland & Barrett’s UK stores as well as online. In the shops, the products will be “placed in prime shelf position at eye level”, with priority given to its bestselling oils, sales of which have quadrupled year-on-year, according to the company.
The normal starting price of Cannaray products is £18, but a Black Friday deal on the Holland & Barrett website brings that down to £12 for Bright Days CBD oil (500mg, 10ml) and Night-Time CBD oil (600mg, 10ml).
